Abstract
Making better use of the existing infrastructure was the main theme of a workshop organised by the Dutch Ministry of Transport, April 27-28, 1999. The aim of the workshop was to assess the impact of various measures especially in relation to the improved accessibility of the transport system, where accessibility needs to be interpreted in terms of reliability and travel time. Five teams with a mixed professional background designed a consistent cluster of measures to be applied to the A2 Amsterdam-Eindhoven corridor. Each team worked according to a specific scenario. (A)
