In three study regions (in the cities of Tiburg, Dordrecht and The Hague) the performance of the opening transport network are compared with two alternatives, a quicker opening network and a connecting plus opening network. Firstly, different network designs for the study regions are made. This shows the practical advantages and disadvantages of the network principles. Thereafter, the desings are compared for the effects in exploitation and use. The quicker opening network seems to have better chances in middle-great cities for a combined increase of quality and cost effectiveness.
