Abstract

Mathematical models for traffic are mostly applied for urban traffic or traffic on main roads. In a rural area the availability of models for the calculation of the load on some sections is wanted, in particular for the comparison of alternatives in physical planning and re-allotment. A traffic model for rural areas is developed and presented.
