Abstract
This report contains a broad inventory of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). Its purpose is partly to direct the TRAIL-SWOV research programme "Telematics and safety in road traffic". The inventory is based on a literature study and two congresses. Various sorts of ITS are dealt with, for example, in-car systems. The inventory also pays attention to: ITS policy in the United States, Japan, Europe and the Netherlands; and to future expectations for ITS.
