Abstract
This exploration of technological developments in the field of traffic and transport is one of a series of six explorations of external influences that SWOV has carried out. This study is aimed at establishing the most important developments in technology and environmental care that affect mobility and road safety. To this end, the exploration has been divided into the components infrastructure, vehicles, transport, ICT, traffic management, and environmental care. For each of these components the implications for road safety have been discussed.
