Abstract

This report forms the final part of a larger project on traffic education for young children. The part described here concerns the capacities of young children with regard to the pedestrian task. A number of studies are described, that resulted from the conclusions of a thorough study of the literature. The main conclusion is that the capacities of young children with regard to the pedestrian task are better than expected on a theoretical basis.
