Abstract

Traffic safety measures have to be based on a systematic analysis of accidents and trends in society. Measures should be directed at the causes of unsafety and should fit within the national program of traffic management. Priority must be given to measures that contribute to traffic safety, traffic flow and environmental goals. In this paper a new concept for a systematic selection of traffic safety measures is proposed.
