Abstract
Investigation into the mental overloading of bus drivers, tram drivers and tram conductors in the municipality of Amsterdam. Analysis of sickness absenteeism, early forced retirement because of medical reasons, and death below the age of 66 years did not support the hypothesis that the group of bus drivers was mentally loaded above capacity. However, the investigation could not prove the absence of overloading, particularly in individual numbers of this group.
