Abstract

The EU funded project "Global System for Telematics" is a major initiative mobilizing more than 50 key stakeholders in the European telematics industry. To facilitate rapid introduction of the GST architecture and specifications to the market, GST has set-up 6 test sites. The cross border test site Aachen covers big parts of Germany, Netherlands and Belgium and is led by Ford Research Center Aachen. It has implemented and validated complementing sub-sets of the specifications developed by the subprojects. Here, the entire telematics chain is covered with actors that have an interest in commercializing the GST results. The paper describes the implemented infrastructure and the test results. For the covering abstract see ITRD E134653.
