Abstract

A third part of the annual (working) costs of the public lighting are energy-costs. The electricity consumption can be reduced by 'dimming' the lamps during for that purpose interesting periods. Several 'dim’ techniques are proved in the public lighting network of Eindhoven, of which the first results are described.
