Abstract

Travinfo is a two-year test of Advanced Traveler Information Systems (ATIS) for the San Francisco Bay Area. TravInfo's hub for data collection, processing and dissemination of timely and accurate traveler information to both the public and private sectors is the Traveler Information Center (TIC). This paper reports on the TIC operations during TravInfo's initial nine to twelve months of operation. The paper focuses on the operator interface and communications interface components.
