Optimised lighting systems architecture.

Abstract

The architectures required for new developments in vehicle lighting systems are described. These systems include meeting the requirements for xenon lighting and halogen lighting. In an optimised system the chassis structure remains identical for all cars. The digitisation of information between the car and headlamps is underway, with many vehicle manufacturers predicted to shift their architecture between 2003 and 2005. Minor variants that remain are expected to relate to safety or to communication with the rear part of the vehicle. For the covering abstract see ITRD E123380.
