Abstract

The structural stiffnesses of todays city buses has a considerable effect on dynamic stresses and ride comfort. A study of the influence of the bending and torsional stiffness of the structure on dynamic loads and ride comfort is presented. Use is made of acceleration measurements on a city bus and road response calculations on finite element methods.
