Abstract

This report describes test runs, on a section of the M.5 motorway, running from Chelston to Blackbrook, of computer programs developed at the TRRL to optimize a vertical alignment with respect to costs of earthworks. It describes the phasing of the vertical alignment with the horizontal alignment.
