Abstract

The main objective of the study has been to investigate the effects of allowing for all highway costs which can evaluate, on the selection of design standards for the gradient of major rural highways. Highly relevant factors which should be considered in selecting the most economical gradient are terrain slope, level of discount or initial traffic flow.
