Abstract

Round Table 35 deals with the organization of public passenger transport, State or privately owned, within the regional framework from the viewpoint of transport requirements and the organization of firms; it stresses the role of public authorities in this field, especially as far as regular work/school services are concerned, and surveys the various means available in regional transport: the railways, buses on request, collective taxis. Finally, it examines problems relating to fare levels in regional transport.
