Abstract

The specifications and characteristics of the Toyota prototype ESV are briefly described. It is felt that the prototype can accomplish the same safety performance as the full sized car in the areas of vehicle handling and control. However, the severe limits of weight and space in a small sized car present problems in meeting the crashworthiness standards.
