Abstract

Large low-speed two-stroke cycle supercharged marine diesel engines cause sometimes considerable noise annoyance e.g. on bridge wings. Compound resonator silencers for application in the exhaust can be investigated by means of reliable, simplified acoustical scale models. Results of a typical example are given.
