Abstract
The nowadays woonerf is a legalised area for pedestrians, playing children and traffic in which the traffic has a total different position than in normal situations. It is an area in which living and dwelling came first and in which the driver with his car is only a guest. A documentation on the woonerf is presented in which recommendations are given for each person who is involved in the layout and construction of such a woonerf.
