Abstract

In observation studies is often seen that children up to 7 years regularly cross a street when traffic is approaching. However they do so in a safe way because more time passes between the moment they leave the road after crossing and the moment the vehicle passes. The paper examines the way they come to the decision to cross the road. The observations were made in an experimental setting.
