Abstract

This report provides a technology primer on highway vehicle electronic systems and their applications. It highlights the need for an integrated intelligent system, and recommends that all systems intended to support navigation, manoeuvring and control tasks receive a full human factors evaluation covering physical, perceptual, cognitive and motivational abilities and limitations.
