Abstract

PHAROS is a microscopic traffic simulator being created as a tool for mobile robot research. The simulated network and vehicles are displayed in near real- time with animated graphics so that vehicle behaviour can be observed directly. This chapter will briefly discuss the mobile robot project of which PHAROS is a part. PHAROS itself will then de described.
