Abstract
This article gives a brief survey of research into traffic control at (simple) intersections. It consists of an analysis of the behaviour of cars, pedestrians, etc. on intersections, carried out by simulation and full-scale checks of several systems in order to learn the importance and effect of the various parameters. Although work is being continued, this article already provided the basis for establishing traffic control, taking these parameters into account.
