Abstract

The evaluation of land use changes influenced by the Bay Area Rapid Transit depends substantially on the availability of information. This requires the creation of a data bank which must be based on considerations of potential users. Since BART impact studies should last over a period of 10 to 20 years, emphasis should be on the data to be collected and some of the questions of measurement and interpretation can be deferred.
