Indirect blood alcohol concentration, determined through breath alcohol analysis was compared with direct concentration determination, using venous blood. Results show a significant (5 %) difference between the direct and indirect concentrations measured. This has to be considered in the use of breath alcohol apparatus for forensic aims.
