Abstract

The purpose of this study was to conduct a comprehensive parameter study by employing a mathematical model verified by full-seale crash tests to investigate the effects of varying the significant parameters governing the response of the structure. The results can be utilized in establishing design criteria and in determining a safe distance from the roadway at which these structure can be installed to avoid falling into the traffic lane.
