Abstract

This paper represents an attempt to isolate and evaluate the variables affecting information-seeking behaviour in tasks which closely simulate current information-processing and decision-making systems. The objective of the study is to ascertain data on complex information-seeking tasks which will be useful and, in some cases, necessary for the design and implementation of information-processing systems.
