Abstract
The most powerful means to reduce car-mobility is the reduction of long stay parking facilities. An attractive city provided with alternative transport systems can very well keep on going despite this reduction of parking places. If there is a decline in activities this is more likely due to the attractiveness of the city than to the reduction in parking places.
