Abstract

Higher densities in new or rebuilt districts lead to more inhabitants and motor cars per m .How many cars per house-hold can we expect? Based on categories of financing of housing (i.e.council houses, two types of premium houses and the so-called free sector) the author made some calculations. The results are car ownership standards ranging from 1, 05 parking places per house for council houses, 1, 25 for premium houses and 1, 49 for the free sector. These cover the needs of both residents and visitors.
