Abstract
In Antwerp a mechanical parking garage is being used for the storage of cars in sort of pigeon-holes by means of a rolling lift tower. This so-called Silopark therefore needs no ramps, which saves a lot of space. The reduction may be in the order of 30-50%. This is the reason why Siloparks often can be used on small lots of land which are available, for instance, near railway stations, department stores etc. And which are too small for conventional parking garages.
