Abstract
Parking provisions were investigated. There is a tendency to abandon disc parking in bigger cities; a lot of municipalities (47%) do not have a bye-law on parking excesses and only 10% have a bye-law on parking revenues. Just a few cities (37) have parking garages, whereas many more operate paid parking systems. About a quarter of the municipalities operate a signposting system to parking facilities, but in only 23% of these cases the system links more than one facility.
