The purpose of the study is to define the parking characteristics in Cairo residential areas as an initial step towards developing and implementing management programs to control parking and safety. Two sites have been selected to carry out the study and to collect the necessary data. A number of measures are discussed to improve parking supply and maintain safe neighbourhoods.
