Abstract
Traffic congestion in large cities is caused partly by illegal parking of cars and their slow driving to look for parking places. The parking-meter supervision system has been developed to guide cars to vacant parking places with parking meters in urban areas. This report describes the essentials of system design allowed efficient utilization of street spaces by monitoring parking meters concentratedly, examples of the system, and practical effects. (A)
