Passenger service time characteristics of street transit systems.

Abstract

Based on the analysis it can be concluded that the Passenger Vehicle Interface can have a significant effect on the operation of street transit systems. Those effects that could be quantified can be categorized into the three areas of (1) direction of flow; (2) method of fare collection; and (3) door characteristics and use.
