Abstract

The papers in this volume were included on the program for the 76th TRB Annual Meeting held in January 1997 in Washington, D.C. The papers in this volume were presented at the following three sessions: 1. Pavement Base and Foundation Material, 2. Resilient Modulus and Deformation Characteristics of Subgrade Soils, and 3. Properties of Unconventional Aggregates. The last was organized by Ramzi Taha, Montana State University. Significant research efforts are underway concerning aggregate properties, a topic that includes both conventional and unconventional aggregates, and behaviour of base and foundation layers of pavement structures under traffic loading and environmental factors. These concerns are addressed by the 14 papers included in this record, which will be of interest to materials, pavement, and geotechnical engineers. (A)
