Abstract

TRB's Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board 1853 covers pavement management, rigid pavement design, and flexible pavement design. Papers assess the impact of bus traffic on pavement maintenance costs in Los Angeles; examine the application, performance, and lessons learned from a 10-year program of dowel-bar retrofit; compare as-constructed and as-designed flexible pavement layer thicknesses; and more. The papers contained in this volume were among those presented at the 82nd Annual Meeting of the Transportation Research Board in January 2003. For abstracts of some of the papers see C 33123 - C 33141.
