Abstract
Peachtree is a "new town" in the U.S.A. Besides possibilities for walking and cycling, small electric cars are applied. An ordinance is established by the city to permit legal traversing on city streets of these types of vehicles. Planning for residential developments will need to focus on the role of the pedestrian and his personal travel as a major criteria for design and implementation.
