Abstract

PECES (PErvasive Computing in Embedded Systems) is an European Union (EU)funded project (FP7- 224342- ICT-2007-2) and it is coordinated by ETRA I+D. The project focuses on the development of an innovative comprehensive software layer that enables the seamless cooperation of embedded devices across various smart spaces on a global scale in a context-dependent, secureand trustworthy manner, and it has a special relevance for mobility-related applications. PECES will enable the use of information available in different embedded isolated systems used nowadays in the transport domain (from traffic controllers to traveler information panels). The software provided by the project will help in the development of new cooperative systems.
