Abstract

From local and overseas research it has been shown that pedal- and motorcycle conspicuity plays a major role in accidents involving these vehicles. The purpose of this study is to establish whether the conspicuity aids used at present are adequate. It can be concluded that there is a great scope for improvements, especially in the rear conspicuity of pedal-cycles at night.
