Abstract

In the U. S. A. a campaign was started to develop plans that will provide protection for pedestrians through improvements in driver-pedestrian interaction, regulations governing driving and pedestrian rights and responsibilities, a system of environmental controls, and treatment for special problems in and around areas that generate unusually large pedestrian volumes.
