Abstract

Pedestrian impact is one of the leading causes of death and injury resulting from automotive accidents. Reconstruction of pedestrian accidents can provide significant insight into prevention of those same accidents. This study investigates factors which contribute to pedestrian accidents including speed, lighting, alcohol, and visibility, as well as interrelationships between these factors.
