Abstract

In the city of Manila, almost 80% of traffic accident fatalities involved were pedestrians. The age group between 5-14 reflects the highest number of accidents followed by the age group between 20-29. More than 70% of pedestrian-vehicular accidents occurred at or near intersections. To reduce the occurrence of pedestrian crossing accidents, a strict enforcement and education should be pursued.
