Abstract

The objective of the study was to collect and analyze data on freeway pedestrian accidents. Data on 236 accidents involving pedestrian struck on limited access highways were collected. Data included behavioral sequence items, site characteristic items, pedestrian factors, driver factors and vehicles factors. Volume I presents an executive summary of the study.
