Abstract

Over half the people killed on European roads are not in motor vehicles: 28% are pedestrians and 24% are on two-wheelers. A synthesis of work done to reduce the number of victims by the Peugeot Renault Association is given, just as proposals for equipping the vehicles. The efficiency of certain solutions for speeds up to 40 km/h are proved.
