Abstract
The existence of road traffic legislation specifically aimed at pedestrian safety is known to few people. This legislation makes provision for certain rights of the pedestrian on the one hand, but on the other hand it also imposes specific duties. In this manual pedestrians are not only informed about road traffic legislation directly affecting them, they are also given practical hints for safer road usage.
