Abstract

The capabilities of the pennsylvania state urban hydrology modelare presented. The model contains 17 subprograms that perform various hydrologic and hydraulic operations, which include curve number weighting, travel time, swale design, hydrograph combining, graphics plotting, rainfall calculations, soil conservation service (scs) unit hydrograph, scs tabular hydrograph, modified rational hydrograph, muskingum channel routing, modified puls routing, and multiple-stageoutlet analysis. The model operates on an ibm personal computer or compatible and is menu driven. An example is presented to illustratethe use of the model. This paper appears in transportation researchrecord no. 1279, Hydrology and environmental design 1990.
