Perception of signals presented in the periphery of the visual field.

Abstract

Two experiments were performed which tested the type of information that can be extracted from the periphery of the visual field, i.e. content information or position information. In both studies two digits were compared. The results indicate a small eye-field advantage, about equal for both degraded or undegraded digits.
