Abstract

The central issue discussed is the relation between the dynamic transformation of the visual field of a driver who is moving through a space with certain characteristics. The research described is aimed to a description in quantitative terms of the relevant geometric properties of the visual field in motion. Such a description could be used as an input to, for example, the control-theoretic models that have been constructed to account for driver behaviour.
