Abstract

An experimental investigation was conducted to study the performance of an aircraft tyre under cyclic braking conditions thereby utilizing an operational aircraft antiskid braking system. The results indicate that the braking and cornering friction may be influenced by fluctuations in the vertical load and the tyre-pavement interface.
