Abstract

The purpose of this report is to present findings and conclusions of Phase I of a two-phase project to develop an array of longitudinal traffic barriers and to demonstrate their suitability for immediate application based on successful crash test performance. It is anticipated that at least two guardrails, two median barriers and two bridge rail systems will be successfully demonstrated for barrier systems being installed and those already in-place in large numbers.
